TANGLE

1. Press Start. You get 90 seconds and a 4 × 4 grid of letters.
2. Spell a word by sliding your finger (or mouse) across touching letters: up, down, sideways or diagonally. Lift to submit it. On a keyboard, type the word and press Enter.
3. Find as many words as you can before the timer runs out.

Rules

• Words need at least 3 letters.
• Each tile can be used only once in a word.
• The Qu tile counts as the two letters Q and U.
• Plurals and verb forms count, like CATS and WALKED. Names and abbreviations don't.
• Slide back onto the previous tile to undo a letter.

Scoring

• J, K, Qu, X and Z add 2 points each.
• A word that passes through the ×2 tile scores double.

Playing with others

• Challenge a friend. Every board has a code, and the same code always gives the same board. After a round, press Copy challenge and send the message. Your friend plays your board and sees the score to beat.
• Team rounds. Teammates signed in to your team's Claude account can join the Team room at the top. Everyone plays the same board at the same moment and sees each other's swipes. The first person to find a word gets its points, so speed counts.
